Ayurveda is the science of life. It isn't an alternative healing method: it's the original healing method. Ayurveda is not merely a practice of disease prevention, but a complete medical science which heals diseases or imbalances within the body. It emphasizes re-establishing balance in the body, mind, and spirit in a practical way, through diet, lifestyle, exercise, and cleansing.
This 200-hour program will educate you in Ayurveda for self-care as per the guidelines of various training models of Ayurvedic Education for Foreign Countries by Government of India: Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Benchmark of World Health Organization (WHO). This course is accredited by the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America. (AAPNA).
When you graduate, you will be eligible and ready to teach Ayurveda workshops on basic topics, understand dosha types, and understand the Ayurvedic perspective of Yoga and Yogic perspective of Ayurveda. You will also be able to get discounts in AAPNA conferences, be eligible for student scholarships through AAPNA, and be eligible to apply for annual AAPNA awards.
You will receive your AAPNA student membership certificate during the first month. You will also receive recordings of the sessions for reference.

Dr. Indu Arora
Dr. Indu Arora is a true Yogini by Karma. She is highly accomplished international speaker, Master Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapist, and very successful Ayurveda Consular, Healer and Author, with more than 30,000 hours in her 13 years of teaching experience. She is an Academic Board member of the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of Northern America (AAPNA), Board member of the World Movement of Yoga and International Advisor to World Yoga Council. She has a Doctorate in Alternate Medicine (MD) and a Medicinal Herbalism degree. Awarded with Yoga Shiromani and Yoga Bhaskar, she has a Grand Parenting E-500 T-500 from Yoga Alliance and is registered Yoga Therapist. Dr. Arora is pursuing her PhD. in Metaphysical Sciences from University of Metaphysical Sciences, CA. She writes regularly for many national and international magazines. She is awarded with the titles “Sage Award for Excellence in Teaching Meditation,” “Gem of India,” “Ray of Hope," “Jewel of Yoga” for Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda. She travels globally for International Yoga Therapy Teacher Training programs, Yoga and Ayurveda retreats and conferences. Her philosophy is “Nothing has the greatest power to heal but SELF."
You will learn
- History and basic principles of Ayurveda (10 hours)
- Sharir, or Ayurvedic Physiopathology (20 hours)
- Practical applications of Ayurvedic principles (5 hours)
- Introduction to Bhaisajya Kalpana, healing substances with an emphasis on diet (10 hours)
- Dravyaguna, Materia Medica with emphasis on diet (30 hours)
- Svasthavritta & Yoga, personal and social hygene including dietetics (30 hours)
- Self-health care for various parts of the body including Pancharkarma, Rasayana and Vajikarna (25 hours)
- Ayurvedic prenatal and postpartum care for healthy mothers and babies (15 hours)
- Samskara, care of infants and children (10 hours)
- 60 hours of practicum
Requirements for Certification
- Passing written take-home examination
- Elective Workshop (not included in the course tuition)
